Café 2825 is an intimate, upscale Italian neighborhood restaurant. The restaurant is owned and operated by the Lautato family and they have been serving authentic Northern Italian cuisine for the past 50 years.
Most Italian restaurants serve the same kind of food; the question is who serves it better? In Café 2825, you will find a variety of Italian food together with the classic favorites. These foods are prepared with the freshest ingredients found locally. For starters, their appetizers are more than appetizing – they are superb. Among the favorites are the Stuffed Calamari and Asparagus Parmiagiana. They also serve fresh salads and their Meatball salad is by far the most loved of all. The combination may sound strange, but trust us, the Meatball salad works and is a pleasant surprise. Of course any Italian restaurant would have pasta but Café 2825 does it with a twist. They may have a secret ingredient, who knows? All we know is that whatever it is, they have flavorful pastas that are worth mentioning. House specialties include Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Sorrentino among others. Café 2825’s menu also include pesci (fish) and chops. They also have an extensive wine list featuring regional Italian and contemporary wines perfect for any meal.
“Keeping it in the family” has been the motto of the Lautato Family ever since they started with Café 2825. They have a small place with thirteen tables and a bar. No matter how many people crowd their place an expansion was not an option for them. Making a reservation is hard so it is advisable to book a table way before your desired date.
The place is cozy and upon entering one would think he/she is transported to Italy. The staff, which is composed mainly of the family, is very friendly and accommodating. They would even go out of their way to talk to diners and ask about their satisfaction with the food.
Café 2825 is open for dinner from Tuesday to Thursday, 4pm to 10pm and from Friday to Saturday, 4pm to 11pm. Again reservation is highly recommended.
