Eleven Madison Park in New York features soaring ceilings and magnificent windows with terrazzo floors and walls which create a sense of grand theatricality. They are open for lunch Mondays through Fridays from noon to 1:30p.m., while dinner is from Mondays through Saturdays from 5:30 in the afternoon to 10:00p.m. You may call in for a reservation which is highly recommended to ensure that you will get a good seat.
It is owned by Danny Meyer who already has a quite a few restaurants. He opened Eleven Madison Park to the public in 1998 but the real recognition for the place happened when Chef Daniel Humm came to the place and switched up the menu to offer more exciting dishes which instantaneously made the restaurant one of the most interesting in the neighborhood.
Eleven Madison Park offers two private party rooms where one room can seat about 18 people and the larger room can seat about 32 people. Both rooms can be opened up to make it one which can then accommodate at least 50 people. The entire restaurant can also be rented out for bigger private functions.
Some of the most recommended dishes are the Foie Gras with Bing Cherries, Gnochi, Suckling Pig and the Chocolate Caramel Tart. The dishes that they offer are of a wide variety; however, they mainly intend to offer an experience to their customers wherein they can enjoy the natural surprise of a tasting menu but somehow still maintain control. The dishes are listed according to their principal ingredients where customers can make a selection, give their thoughts and food preferences which will allow the chef to create their dish for them based on what they like.
Most guests enjoy the matrix menu which is made from the primary ingredient that they choose and they are ecstatic about the wine pairings and are genuinely happy about the generous pours they receive. The service offered is consistently of high quality and the dining experience is very polished which will make you want to come back for more. The staff members are always attentive; the excitement of working for such a restaurant exudes in the service that the employees provide their guests which makes the whole experience of dining there even more incredible. The menus that Chef Daniel Humm creates are all inventive and the primary ingredients chosen by guests are not drowned out by sauces and creams. The amuse-bouches are just as pleasing as the meal itself.
Eleven Madison Park by far exceeds guests’ expectations in terms of food, service and ambiance. The restaurant truly showcases nice decors which will make you feel like you’re in a neo-classical New York setting; the view of Manhattan from the upper floor window is amazing. The little extras served in between meals are truly divine which makes the customer feel that they are really getting their money’s worth. The food is no-doubt impeccable, exciting and very innovative which is why although a bit expensive, it is still worth it especially if you are a foodie and you have a passion for interesting food.
