Overview

Gran Melia Fenix opened its doors to the public in 1953. It is located in Plaza Colon, Salamanca District in Madrid. Salamanca district is home to great shopping, trendy hangouts and cafés where you can pass the time people-watching. Designer boutiques are found along Calle Serrano which is adjacent to the hotel. Guests and travelers can also visit Madrid’s most famous café, Café Gijon which is frequented by local clientele.

These rooms have a king size or queen size bed or two single beds. The rooms are stylish and bright making each guest feel welcome. Supreme Room

These are the most spacious rooms in the hotel. The rooms are sophisticated in style and have a queen size, king size or two single beds. Each of the supreme room offers a spectacular view of Paseo de la Castellana or Plaza Colon. Red Level Accommodation

Aside from standard room accommodations mentioned above, Gran Melia Fenix also offers Red Level Accommodations. Red Level is an exclusive and luxurious accommodation that provides the highest level of customer service.

The Red Level Lounge is for exclusive use of guests staying at the red level accommodation. The lounge has a personalized check-in and check-out area, private breakfast lounge and open bar in the afternoons, living room with TV, sound system and board games for the young and young at heart and a designated area for smokers. In 2012, the lounge will have a Solarium area with whirlpool, showers and hammocks.

Red Lounge services include complimentary premium wireless Internet connection in room and common areas, open bar with Nespresso products and champagne, butler service and VIP reservation in the DRY Cosmopolitan Bar.

Dining

Staying at Gran Melia Fenix would not be complete without dining at the any of the three onsite restaurants.

Café Del Fenix: a piano bar serving different kinds of tapas and drinks. It has a soothing ambiance and cool atmosphere perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.

La Terraza Del Fenix: located on the rooftop of the hotel, La Terraza Del Fenix is open during summer. It has a view of Plaza de Colon Square.

Restaurant Epoque: serves Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is located on the ground floor with intimate setting with candle light and a variety of wines.

The newly-opened DRY Cosmopolitan Bar is located at the hotel lobby.

Meetings and Events

Because of the hotel’s strategic location, it has become a premium venue for business meetings, conferences and social gatherings. It has four meeting/event venues equipped with plasma screens, projectors and screens, teleconference and video conference capabilities, RDSL and ADSL, WIFI connection, PA system and qualified hotel event specialist.

The hotel has a Business Center for the use of guests who can’t leave work behind. Business center is complete with Internet connection; fax machine, photocopiers and translational services.
