Island Creek Oyster Bar boasts of a collaboration between farmer, fisherman and the restaurant. This oyster bar serves only the freshest seafood caught daily. Their seafood menu is printed daily reflecting the day’s catch. Of course oysters, prepared every which way possible, is the restaurant’s main attraction.
Jeremy Sewall and Skip Bennett own the restaurant. Jeremy also happens to be the executive chef. As co-owners they maintain a close relationship with their vendors or suppliers. In fact they even mention them in the menu, a testament on how important they are to the owners. They wouldn’t be one of the best seafood/oyster bar and restaurant without these amazing contributors.
The oysters are sometimes presented in 12 different varieties. They offer it raw as well as battered and fried, depending on the diner’s preference. The raw bar includes shellfish such as Maine Lobster, Littleneck and Shellfish Platter. Aside from the mouthwatering oysters they serve, they also have other seafood preparations like steamed clams, lobster roll and clam chowder. Fish menu includes Mrs. Bennett’s Seafood Casserole, which is a favorite, Seared Scituate Scallops, Salmon and Yellowfin tuna among others. Again, this list changes on a daily basis.
The Island Creek Oyster Bar menu also includes salads such as Caesar, Iceberg and Baby Arugula. They also serve Burgers with Cheddar and Bacon, onion rings and French fries. Baked goodies like the butter croissant and buttermilk biscuit are also available. Dessert also plays a major role in completing an exceptional dining experience. They have cheese plate, donuts, ice cream sandwich, strawberry shortcake, cookies and milk and bittersweet chocolate tart. Enjoy dessert with a cup of coffee or tea.
Diners have the option of ordering their favorite wine or champagne to go with their meal and dessert as well.
Island Creek Oyster Bar accommodates small social gatherings as well as corporate dinners in their main dining room and lounge.
