This renovated historic landmark was built in 1787. It is located in Society Hill near some of the historic landmarks of the country such as the Independence Hall and Liberty Bell.
Morris House Hotel has the charm of a cozy bed and breakfast with the luxuries of a boutique hotel. The place is ideal for those who are attending business related meetings and conventions or just spending a couple of days in the city. Morris House Hotel has a total of 15 rooms including suites. Each of the rooms was styled in an 18th century setting. Most of the rooms have a garden view.
All rooms are air-conditioned, have private bathrooms with a shower and/or bath, telephones, hairdryers, clock radios with AM/FM frequency, TVs, smoke alarms, turn down service with Godiva chocolates, work desks and wireless Internet access. Guests can also request for an iron and ironing board.
Upon check-in, guests are welcomed with bottled water, Godiva Demitasse Chocolate squares and fresh flowers.
Room categories are LUXURY ROOM with queen size bed, MINI SUITE with queen size bed, EXTENDED LUXURY SUITE with queen size bed and PRESIDENTIAL LOFT SUITE with king size bed.
All rooms can accommodate up to 2 persons except for the Extended Luxury Suite, which can accommodate a 3rd person on a queen size pullout couch. Additional charge may apply. Complimentary breakfast is also part of the package.
Morris House Hotel houses the M Restaurant. It has a bar, restaurant and outdoor garden where guests can relax and enjoy the company of friends or family while savoring the scrumptious dishes that Chef Michel Caspi carefully prepared.
M Restaurant also accommodates private parties and functions. Dinner is served nightly with happy hour from Tuesday to Friday, 5pm to 7pm. The hotel also serves in-room dining upon request.
Meetings and Events
Morris House Hotel has the capability to host small business meetings as well as intimate weddings and other social events.
The Garden can easily accommodate 120 persons. Smaller venues such as the Library and Morris Room can hold up to 15 and 10 persons respectively. An even smaller Reynolds room is perfect for small group gatherings with a total of 7 persons or less.
