Visa Requirements for Canada Passport Holders – Equatorial Guinea (Republic of Equatorial Guinea)

Canada established diplomatic relations with Equatorial Guinea in 1968, when the Republic of Equatorial Guinea achieved independence.

In Equatorial Guinea, Canada is represented by the Canadian High Commission in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Canada also has a Consulate General in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.

Equatorial Guinea is also represented in Canada by an Embassy in New York City, U.S.A.

A Canadian passport is required for Canadians traveling to Equatorial Guinea. The passport must have remaining validity for at least six months beyond the date of your expected departure from the country. Canadian passport holders must also be in possession of a visa. Equatorial Guinea now requires a Police Clearance Certificate for personal or tourist travel. An HIV test certificate may also be required, and HIV-positive status could lead to refusal of entry or deportation.

  • Valid Canadian passport with at least 6 months validity remaining beyond expected departure
  • One (1) Fully completed application form
  • Two (2) passport type photographs
  • Copy of the airline ticket or itinerary
  • Proof of financial support
  • Copy of the Green Card if the applicant is a resident alien

Equatorial Guinea Business Visa

  • Valid Canadian passport with at least 6 months validity remaining beyond expected departure
  • One (1) Fully completed application form
  • Two (2) passport type photographs
  • Copy of the airline ticket or itinerary
  • Proof of financial support
  • Copy of the Green Card if the applicant is a resident alien
  • Letter of invitation from the host company stating the purpose of business and duration of travel.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
Travelers must be aware that immigration / health authorities in Equatorial Guinea now obliges visitors to have an international vaccination certificate in order to enter/leave Equatorial Guinea. All flights are systematically checked.
Note: Travelers visiting Equatorial Guinea should check that their passports are properly endorsed at the airport, on arrival and departure, before leaving the immigration desk. Reports have been filed of travelers being delayed or threatened with detention due to their passports not having been properly stamped.
