Canadian citizens are required to secure a visa prior to traveling to Libya. A copy or reference of the immigration office in Libya is required for Canadians traveling to Libra for business. Coordination with an accredited travel agency is required for those traveling for tourist purposes.

Passports must not bear an Israeli visa or border stamp. An Arabic translation of the passport is no longer a requirement.

Applicants are required to appear in person. Only payments in cheque or money order are accepted for the visa fee.

General Requirements – Business Visa

1. Original passport valid for at least 6 months
2. Two (2) 2X2 in. photos
3. A copy or reference of the immigration office in Libya
4. Duly accomplished application form
5. Money order or bank draft with the amount CAD102.50 in the name of Libyan People’s Bureau.
6. Return envelope with a waybill should be included with a courier account number and/or credit card for payment.

1. Original passport valid for at least 6 months
2. Two (2) 2X2 in. photos
3. Coordination with an accredited Libyan travel agency.
4. Duly accomplished application form
5. Money order or bank draft with the amount CAD102.50 in the name of Libyan People’s Bureau.
6. Return envelope with a waybill should be included with a courier account number and/or credit card for payment.

Policies:

1. Applicants must submit visa application, including contact number and address, directly to the Consular Section. He/she must appear in person.
2. No cash will be accepted. Applicants may only pay in cheque or money order.

Please note:

Arabic translation of Canadian passport is no longer a requirement for visa applications.

A yellow fever vaccination is required for travellers over the age of one if they are originating from an infected area.

Visa Processing Fee: CAD102.50

Minimum processing time: 14 business days
