Canadians intending to visit Sweden are not required to obtain visas for stays of less than 90 days, whether for tourist or business purposes. Sweden is a party to the Schengen agreement. Canadians entering one Schengen country may travel continuously between the member countries for 90 days.
A valid Canadian passport is required of all Canadians visiting Sweden. Their Canadian passports must be valid for at least the duration of stay in the country. Additionally, Canadians must possess proof of sufficient funds, travel medical insurance, documents supporting the purpose of the trip and return or onward airline tickets.
Those intending to remain in Sweden for a period of more than 90 days, or are traveling to Sweden for purposes other than tourist or business, must contact the Embassy of Sweden before traveling to obtain the appropriate requirements.
