Visa Requirements for Canada Passport Holders – Cameroon (Republic of Cameroon)

Canadians are required to have valid passport when traveling to Cameroon. The passport should at least be valid beyond the intended stay in Cameroon. A Cameroon visa should also be acquired by Canadians prior to the scheduled travel.

All travelers are also expected to carry a proof of yellow fever vaccination and this must be presented upon arrival at the airport. Cameroonian Travel Certificate is also required. This certificate can be applied for through the immigration services.

General Requirements for visa application

Tourist Visa

  • Valid passport
  • Duly accomplished application form
  • 1 passport size photograph bearing the applicant’s name at the back
  • A copy of International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever.
  • A copy of return flight or confirmed itinerary from a travel agency
  • Letter of invitation from friends or family hosting the visit. The letter should be signed by the local authorities.
  • A proof of hotel reservation
  • Bank Statement: proof of sufficient funds

Business Visa

  • Valid passport
  • Duly accomplished application form
  • 1 passport size photograph bearing the applicant’s name at the back
  • A copy of International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever.
  • A copy of return flight or confirmed itinerary from a travel agency
  • Company letter stating the purpose for the visit and proof of sufficient funds
  • A proof of hotel reservation

Visa types and fees

  • Single entry visa: CAD 150 (Tourist of Business)
    A single entry visa is valid for entry to Cameroon within 3 months upon issuance. Cameroon Immigration Service, at the point of entry, will determine how long a person can stay in the country, usually a maximum of 60 days.
  • Multiple entry visa: CAD 300 (Business)
    A multiple entry visa grants the applicant unlimited entries into Cameroon within six months from the date of visa issuance.
    For visa extension, you may contact the Cameroon Immigration Service prior to visa expiration.
  • Mode of payment: Cash, money order or certified check
