Individual Canadian travelers should obtain a visa prior to travelling to Cape Verde. The minimum time to process a Cape Verde tourist or Cape Verde business visa is one week.  A visa is required unless travelling in an organised tourist group and holding a ‘Certificado Colectivo de Identidade et Viagem’.

General Requirements for Tourist Visa:

1. Canadian Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
2. One fully completed and duly signed Visa Application form
3. One passport-size photograph
4. Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent

General Requirements for Business Visa:

1. Canadian passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
2. One fully completed and duly signed Visa Application form
3. One passport-size photograph
4. A business letter of responsibility, typewritten on your company letterhead

Travelers are required to carry evidence of vaccination from yellow fever, if they are arriving from infected areas.
