Canadian citizens must be in possession of a valid passport and visa in order to enter the Lebanese Republic. Passports should have at least six months remaining validity beyond the intended trip.
Visas can be obtained upon arrival in Beirut at any port of entry or at the Lebanese embassy/consular office prior to arrival in the country. Visas from the airport/port of entry costs CAD $35.00. It is good for single entry and valid for one month only. There shouldn’t be an Israeli visa or stamp on the passport otherwise you will be denied entry. Lebanese authorities will also ask for a confirmed roundtrip/onward ticket.
Travelers who wish to secure their visa prior to arrival in Lebanon can apply at the nearest embassy of consulate office. Requirements are as follows:
Tourist/Business Visa
- Passport with a photocopy of the page with name, photo, passport number, issue and expiry date
- 1 visa application form, completely filled out and signed
- 2 passport size pictures
- Certificate of employment
Visa Fees:
Single Entry Visa: CAD $35.00
Double Entry Visa: CAD $50.00
Multiple Entry Visa: CAD $70.00
Visa validity is 90 days starting from date of issuance. Be mindful of your visa expiry date. An expired visa must be extended by the Lebanese government before you will be allowed to depart the country.
