The Ghana Consulate in Manila is now issuing visas for Filipinos who wish to travel to Ghana. To apply for a visa, you would need to have the following.
- Form filled out in quadruple copies, in CAPITAL LETTERS
- Four passport-sized photographs
- Letter from applicant’s employer (for business visa)
- Letter of guarantee from parents who are traveling with minors (4 copies)
- Return Ticket (4 copies)
- Hotel Reservation confirmation
- Certificate of Yellow fever vaccination
- Passport valid for 6 months
This is dependent on what type of visa you are applying for. It is always good to consult with the embassy if any other requirement is needed for a different type of visa. Should you wish to work in Ghana, another request must be made for an Immigrant Quota letter, issued by the Immigration service. Working under a tourist visa is prohibited.
The fees are USD 30 for single entry and USD 60 for multiple entry. Single entry visa is valid for up to 30 days stay in Ghana, and may be extended upon request with the Immigration Officer. Personal and company checks are not acceptable. The only form accepted is cash.
Applications should come in 4 copies, and should be divided into 4 sets. Please take extra care not to leave blanks on the form so as not to delay your application. Kindly glue the photos on the space provided for them. You should submit your application at least five days before the date of travel. You may or may not be called for an interview, as the Consulate deems necessary.
