Visa Requirements for Philippine Passport Holders – Netherlands (Kingdom of the Netherlands)

Philippine nationals must have a passport with six months remaining validity when applying for a Schengen visa. Netherlands is a part of the Schengen visa scheme.

The Netherlands embassy recommends that visa application be started at least 3 months prior to intended departure.

Below are the requirements needed in applying for Schengen visa at the Netherlands embassy in Manila or at the Honorary Consulate in Cebu.

Tourism or Visiting Purposes

  • A valid passport
  • 1 duly accomplished and signed visa application form
  • 2 recent photographs (35-40mm in width, close-up of the head and top of shoulders, in sharp focus & clear, of high quality with no ink marks or creases)
  • Old/expired passports
  • Travel insurance
  • For employees: Letter from employer or company stating your leave of absence has been approved. It should also mention your salary, date of entry and duration of absence
  • For private businessman: photocopy of SEC or DTI business registration of the company, mayor’s business permit, ITR and a copy of bank statements of the last 3 months
  • For students: school or university registration. If traveling during school period, a certificate from school or university with permission of absence must be presented
  • For minors traveling without both parents, a DSWD Travel Clearance must be presented.

Business Purposes

  • A valid passport
  • 1 duly accomplished and signed visa application form
  • 2 recent photographs (35-40mm in width, close-up of the head and top of shoulders, in sharp focus & clear, of high quality with no ink marks or creases)
  • Old/expired passports
  • Travel insurance
  • For employees: Letter from employer or company stating your leave of absence has been approved. It should also mention your salary, date of entry and duration of absence
  • For private businessman: photocopy of SEC or DTI business registration of the company, mayor’s business permit, ITR and a copy of bank statements of the last 3 months
  • A flight reservation upon submission of application. Do not
    • purchase ticket unless visa is approved
    • Confirmed hotel reservation for the duration of the trip. This should be Faxed by the hotel directly to the embassy (fax no: +63 2 7866444) or email at manvz@minbuza.nl

Visa processing takes about 15 working days minimum but can be extended up to 60 days in the event that your application will be forwarded to the authorities in Netherlands. In such cases, the embassy will send a letter of notification to the applicant. This is why it is advisable to start visa processing as early as 3 months prior to departure. Make sure that your documents are complete.

Visa application can be made at the Netherlands Embassy in Manila. If applying at the Honorary Consulate in Cebu, no appointment is necessary. Visa application in Cebu is from Monday to Friday, 8am to 12nn.

    Unfortunately, the location of the call center that the Embassy of Netherlands is using is undisclosed, if that is what you are looking for.

    You will need to call their numbers using NDD or IDD-enabled telephones with touch-tone features and the calls have to be made within the Philippines only.
