Visa Requirements for Philippine Passport Holders – Ukraine

Filipinos are required to obtain visas before traveling to Ukraine for whatever purpose of visit or length of stay. The Embassy of Ukraine in Tokyo, Japan has jurisdiction over the Philippines and Filipinos can make inquiries and lodge their application for visas to Ukraine there (contact information provided below).

General Requirements:

  1. Fully accomplished and duly signed visa application form, printed or written in block letters in black ink.
  2. Philippine passport, with validity of at least 6 months beyond the proposed date of departure from Ukraine. The passport must contain at least 1 blank page.
  3. 1 recent passport size photograph.
  4. All contact telephone numbers for the applicant.
  5. For employment visa: Work permit, issued by the Ministry of Employment in Ukraine.
  6. For student visa: Original letter of invitation from a University/College in Ukraine or a letter from the Ministry of Education in Ukraine.
  7. For tourist visa: Documents to prove the touristic nature of the trip.
  8. For business visa: Original letter of invitation from a legal entity duly registered in Ukraine, detailing their official address and telephone number printed in the letterhead. The letter must be signed by an authorized officer of the entity and bear their seal. It must also be accompanied by a clear copy of a valid Certificate of Registration in Ukraine, when applicable. The invitation letter should include the purpose, number of visits, exact travel dates cities/towns to be visited, and provide the basic passport data of the invitee.
  9. For student visa: Invitation from an educational institution issued by the Ministry of Education in Ukraine.
  10. For employment visa: Work permit issued by the Ministry of Labor of Ukraine.

Please note:

  • Incomplete documents and application forms will not be accepted for consideration and will be returned to the applicant unprocessed.
  • The Consular Office strongly advises against purchasing airline tickets before obtaining visas.
  • The Consular Office reserves the right to request for additional documentation when deemed necessary.
  • Filipinos are advised to contact the Ukrainian Embassy in Japan to verify visa fees.

      I am going to Ukraine in June 2017 and got this info from the Ukrainian Embassy in Malaysia.

    I received an official email from Ukraine ConsulPH just today and there is a good news for us Filipinos who want to go to Ukraine.

    Here is the email:

    Dear all,

    On November 13, 2017 from 9.00 a.m. till 6.p.m. a consular officer of the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia will be providing a one day outstation consular services at the Office of the Honorary Consul General of Ukraine: 7th Floor, Basic Petroleum Bldg., C.Palanca St., Legaspi Village, Makati City, Philippines.
    All Philippine citizens requiring Ukrainian consular advice or wishing to apply for a Ukrainian visa may submit document to the consular officer according to the Rules for Visa Issuance for Entry to and Transit through the Territory of Ukraine.     You may want to file your visa application online NOT LATER THAN NOV. 4, 2017. After doing so, please communicate with Mrs. Tetyana Zahrebelna, Second Secretary (consular, humanitarian affairs, education, protocol), of the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia, at tetyana.zahrebelna@mfa.gov.ua
    If she finds your application in order, she might save you the trip to KL since she will be doing consular work in Manila for one day only — on November 13, 2017.
