Filipino citizens do not require visas in order to travel to Vietnam for stays of 21 days or less as tourists, on the condition that their passports are valid for up to 6 months beyond the date of departure from Vietnam, they have confirmed return or onward airline tickets and sufficient funds to cover their expenses for the duration of stay.
The visa-free travel to Vietnam does not apply for stays of more than 21 days and for remunerated purposes.
- Original Philippine passport with validity of 1 month beyond the date of departure from Vietnam. Please note that airlines may require their passengers to carry passports with validity of at least 6 months from the date of travel.
- Fully accomplished and duly signed visa application form with 1 original and recent 2” x 2” photo attached (visa application form may be downloaded in PDF or DOC format).
Notes: In case the applicant wants a loose-leaf visa, they must staple 1 additional photo to the form.
If the applicant has already obtained a visa approval, they may write the reference number on the top of the form. Those traveling to Vietnam and remaining for 3 months and do not have visa approval must leave the “visa approval number” blank. Additional processing fees for visa approval may be charged.
- Visa fee paid in Philippine peso or US dollars in cash at the counter.
- 5 business days are required for regular processing of visa application, while expedited processing requires 2 business days after the Embassy’s receipt of the application (for an additional fee).
