Philippine passport holders need to acquire a visa prior to entry in Bhutan. These are processed by local tour operators in Bhutan, or can be done by your travel agents as well. As independent travel is not allowed, your application will go through these agents, and they will be responsible for forwarding your application.
Travel to Bhutan is possible via Druk Air. This is the only plane servicing Bhutan, and flies to the Paro International Airport. This only carries flights from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Your visa should be cleared prior to entering Bhutan. This clearing is done in Thimphu and would take about 10 days to process. Once this visa is cleared, that is the only time that you will be able to purchase your tickets. This visa will cost you USD 20, and your passport will be stamped upon entry. Please ready two passport photos as well.
The Bhutan government has non-negotiable tariff rates set for packaged tours. This should also be paid prior to travel to Bhutan as well.
