Visa Requirements for Philippines Passport Holders – Uganda (Republic of Uganda)

Filipinos are required to obtain visas in order to enter and stay in Uganda. Visas are available upon arrival at Entebbe Airport. However, Filipinos intending to travel to Uganda should inquire and lodge their applications with the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uganda in neighboring countries (contact details provided below).

Visitors arriving in Uganda must hold onward/return tickets, proof of sufficient funds and all documents required for their next destination (if applicable).

General Requirements:

  1. Fully accomplished and duly signed visa application form.
  2. 1 passport size photograph, taken not more than 6 months before the time of application.
  3. Original invitation letter from a private individual or company/organization in Uganda.
  4. For touristic purposes:
    1. Bank statement, recent (last 3 months).
    2. Copy of a return air ticket and hotel booking.
  5. For family reunion purposes:
    1. Marriage certificates (for spouses).
    2. Birth certificates of children 0-18 years.
  6. For business/investment purposes:
    1. Company portfolio.
    2. Nature of investment opportunity/ies the company is involved in.
    3. Project proposal for the area/s of investment that the applicant is interested in, detailing amount to be invested, etc.
    4. Letter from employer indicating the position of the company inviting the applicant.
    5. Letter of invitation from the company in Uganda.
    6. For conference/meeting: Invitation letter from organizers.

Please note:

  • Incomplete application forms will not be processed.
  • The Embassy or Consular office reserves the right to ask for additional supporting documentation when deemed necessary.
