British nationals who wish if to travel to The Bahamas should have a passport valid for six months starting from the date of the arrival. A visa is not required if traveling for tourism purposes. You are allowed to stay up to three months. If you plan to extend your stay apply for an extension at the Department of Immigration in Nassau. It is worth noting that overstaying will incur penalties and you will be detained or deported.

When leaving The Bahamas, a charge of US$15 will be paid for cash departure tax. This amount may or may not be included in your ticket.
