Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – Malta (Republic of Malta)

British passport holders do not need to apply for a tourist visa to travel to Malta.  Malta and United Kingdom are both member countries of the European Union, which allows citizens of member countries the freedom of movement privilege. Return or onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds for duration of your stay in Malta may be needed. British nationals must have a passport that is valid upon arrival in Malta. Passport exemptions apply to holders of identity cards issued by Gibraltar authorities, and validated for EU travel reasons under the authority of the United Kingdom. No visa is required for a stay of up to 90 days, for holders of passports endorsed British National, British Overseas Territories Citizen and British Subject ( both containing a Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode issued by the United Kingdom).
