Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – Nigeria (Federal Republic of Nigeria)

Requirements for All Applicants:

  • Valid passport for at least 6 months.
  • Two (2) visa application forms duly filled out and signed.
  • Two (2) recent passport-size photographs.
  • International Vaccination Certificate:
  • Yellow Fever is mandatory.
  • Cholera is required only if traveling from a country where an outbreak of the disease has been reported (mostly from the neighboring countries).

General Requirements – Tourist Visa:

  • Please refer to: REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS.
  • One (1) copy of a letter from the travel agent certifying that round trip ticket has been purchased.
  • Proof of funds that will guarantee that the traveler can sustain him or herself financially.
  • Copy of confirmation of Hotel reservation.

General Requirements – Business Visa:

  • Please refer to: REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS.
  • Invitation letter from the company in Niger.
  • Airplane ticket.

Please note:

  • Visas must be used within three (3) months as of its date of issuance.
  • Visa fees do not include postage stamps for the return of passport (s) by mail. A self-addressed stamped envelope must be provided by the applicant. Further, it is advised that such envelope be either CERTIFIED, REGISTERED or SPECIAL DELIVERY.
  • Please allow five (5) working days for processing.

Reminders:

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the issuance of your visa, it is important that you complete the visa application forms thoroughly and accurately. For example:

  • If you have more than one Christian name please give them in full.
  • Place of birth – frequently omitted.
  • Place, month and date of passport issuance – frequently omitted.
  • Passport numbers given on the application forms must be identical to those of your passport.
  • “Persons to contact in case of emergency” is equally important.

Visa Fees:

ORDINARY (REGULAR) PASSPORT:

  • Single Entry Visa: £110.00 in cash or postal order made payable to the Consulate of Niger Republic
  • Multiple Entry Visa: £210.00 in cash or postal order made payable to the Consulate of Niger Republic

DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL PASSPORT:  (FREE OF CHARGE)

Rush Fee: (24 hours processing) £40.00 additional

Please note:

The Niger Honorary Consulate in Bamako, Mali is no longer authorized to issue visas for Niger. A visa issued by the Consulate is unlikely to be recognized, and travelers risk being denied entry or deported without a valid visa.
