Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – Maldives (Republic of Maldives)

British tourists are allowed to obtain a visa upon arrival in Maldives which is valid for 30 days. A return or onward airline ticket, as well as proof that the traveler has sufficient funds to cover the expenses of staying in Maldives will have to be presented along with a valid passport. British travelers’ passports are allowed to be valid only for the duration of stay in Maldives; however, it is strongly advised that British nationals ensure that their passports are valid for at least 6 months beyond the expected duration of a trip before leaving the UK.

Those arriving in Maldives from infected regions should present an international certificate of vaccination for yellow fever.

Individuals intending to work in Maldives must first obtain a work permit prior to traveling to the country.

The decision to allow or refuse entry to visitors as well as the duration travelers are allowed to remain in Maldives is at the discretion of Immigration Officers.
