Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – New Zealand

British citizens are allowed to enter New Zealand as tourists without a visa, as long as they are able to present a current passport that is valid for at least 1 month beyond the date of intended visa-free stay, return or onward airline tickets and proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay in the country. A British traveler intending to stay in New Zealand as a visitor is entitled to remain in the country for up to 6-months but he or she should ensure that the passport is valid for 1 month beyond the date of departure.

New Zealand immigration rules are strict, particularly in employment matters. Foreigners who intend to work under the Temporary Work or Work and Live Permanently categories should contact the Embassy of New Zealand to obtain the requirements specific to their purpose.
