Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – Switzerland (Swiss Confederation)

British citizens and British Subjects with Right of Abode in the United Kingdom do not need visas to enter Switzerland. Other British passport holders must verify the latest entry requirements with the nearest Swiss Diplomatic Mission.

Travelers from the UK should ensure that their passports are valid for at least the duration of their stay in Switzerland. However, it is strongly advised that for international travel, British passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the length of stay in a foreign country.

British visitors to Switzerland must also be able to present return or onward airline tickets, travel medical insurance, proof of purpose of stay and evidence of adequate funds to cover the cost of their duration of stay in the territory.
