A British national entering Bosnia and Herzegovina as a visitor is not required to secure a visa granting that the stay will not exceed 90 days. Upon arrival, all foreign nationals visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina must register with the local police. If you are staying in a hotel, the hotel management will register for you. If you have intentions of staying for more than 90 days, you must apply and secure Residency Permit at the Border Police. You must also supply the Border Police with a certification that you have no criminal record in the United Kingdom. It is important that you acquire this document before leaving UK since the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot issue this type of document.
If your stay is for more than 6 months, you need to apply for a temporary residency aside from registering with the local police.
Passport should be valid for at least 6 months after departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
