UK passport holders, who intend to visit Croatia either for tourism or business, do not need to get a visa to enter the country. British nationals only need to have a passport that must be valid for the whole duration of the trip.
Croatian authorities allow a maximum stay of 90 days. Those who will be staying for more than 90 days need to apply for a temporary residence permit. It should be applied for at the Croatian Embassy in London before the scheduled trip.
When entering the country, you might be asked to present proof that you are able to support yourself financially for the duration of your trip and roundtrip airline ticket. If you are staying in a hotel, your subsistence should be 100 Euros per day but if in a private residence, it is 50 Euros per day.
It is also important for British nationals to register upon arrival in Croatia. Locate the nearest police station in the area where you are staying and register there. Those staying in hotels will be registered for by the hotel management. Failure to register may result in a fine or removal from the country.
