Visa Requirements for UK Passport Holders – Iceland (Republic of Iceland)

In general, British passport holders such as an endorsed British citizen, British national Overseas and British Overseas Territory citizen will be allowed to enter Iceland and stay for as long as 90 days without the need for a visa. In all other cases, such as for British Overseas Citizen, a valid Schengen visa will be required for an individual to enter Iceland. Another requirement is a current passport that is valid for 3 months beyond the date of expected departure from Iceland. Those who intend to stay for longer than 3 months should contact:

Directorate of Immigration
Útlendingastofnun, Skogarhlid 6,
105 Reykjavík
Telephone: 510-5400

Because Iceland is a member country of the EEA, British citizens are entitled to work or reside in Iceland as long as they obtain a Residence/Work Permit from the Directorate of Immigration.
