US citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel to Solomon Islands. Any US passport holder who intends to travel to the Solomon Islands for purposes other than tourism or business negotiations should contact the nearest embassy or consulate.
US citizens must have a valid passport, onward/return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds for the duration of your stay. Travelers may be denied boarding at check-in or refused entry upon arrival in Honiara if their documents are not in order. Visitor permits are issued upon arrival at Henderson International Airport in Honiara. Travelers may enter any number of times provided that their total time in the Solomon Islands does not exceed 90 days within a 12-month period. Visitors arriving on a one-way airline ticket must have documentation stating their business; this includes a work permit if going to work in the Solomon Islands.
In the Solomon Islands, immigration laws are strictly enforced and visitors may face fines and other penalties if they remain in the country beyond the period of stay without proper authority.
