Visa Requirements for US Passport Holders – Moldova (Republic of Moldova)

Since January 2007, the citizens of the United States are exempted from securing visas to travel to Moldova.  However, you will need a passport to enter the country. US passports should at least have 6 months remaining validity.

Foreign nationals who are granted visa-free entrance are permitted to stay up to 90 days within a six-month period. Those who are staying for more than 90 days must obtain a residence permit.

Upon arrival at the Chisinau airport, all visitors are automatically registered. US nationals who enter through the separatist region of Transnistria must register personally at the right-bank (western) Moldova within three days of arrival. The Ministry of Information Development registration office is located in central Chisinau.
