US citizens are not required to secure a visa prior to traveling to Republic of Senegal for visits of less than 90 days. A passport is required. Vaccination for yellow fever vaccination is required to enter Senegal while vaccination for meningitis is highly recommended if the traveler is arriving from (or has recently traveled to) an area where the disease is prevalent. Travelers unable to provide proof of vaccinations may be required to pay for and receive vaccinations at the Dakar airport.
