Menton is located in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood serving Italian and French cuisine. This upscale, fine dining restaurant creates a cozy ambiance perfect for diners to sit back and relax and enjoy themselves. It has a lounge where diners can hang out and chat with friends. The interiors are done in warm tones; the hanging lamps adding to the grandeur of the place. Every element found in the restaurant, from the French linens to the Austrian wine glasses, is well thought of.
The restaurant can seat about 60 persons in the dining room, another 12 on the Chef’s table and 45 in the private dining room. The Chef’s table is for intimate private events. It is located in the kitchen near the main dining room, with a glass partition where guests can view the kitchen during service. The private dining room is elegantly designed with wood panels and graphite drawings. It also has its own kitchen. This room is ideal for social events or business functions.
Menton Chef Barbara Lynch and Executive Chef Colin Lynch use only the finest ingredients to bring out perfectly executed meals to bring friends and clients a taste of France and Italy. Menton is by far the only restaurant in the neighborhood, really anywhere nearby, that offers guests two menu formats: a four-course prix fixe and a seven-course chef’s tasting with optional wine pairings. This restaurant, of course, is a little bit pricey than most of the restaurants in the area. But the price you pay is definitely worth it and memorable.
Another notable thing about Menton is the service it provides all guests. The staff is very accommodating, helpful, attentive and never snobbish. Each course is served precisely on time as if on schedule. Guests need not wait long for the next course or meal to be served.
