New York Pasta Garden is a quaint little restaurant located in Duval Street. The restaurant opened in 1989 and has become a local favorite. It serves Italian cuisine and seafood dishes. Michael, the restaurant owner, boasts of creating beautiful and scrumptious meals. The huge servings are also a plus especially to those who have a hearty appetite.
New York Pasta Garden offers indoor and outdoor dining. The indoor setup is simple and clean, without any unnecessary clutter and has a homey feeling to it. A sort of at-home bar is set-up in one corner. The garden has a lovely setup of tables surrounded by trees and plants. Looking from the street, this charming establishment looks like any other house in the neighborhood.
The restaurant serves breakfast (except on Tuesdays), lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu includes eggs (3 eggs breakfast, 3 eggs with meat and hungry man’s breakfast), Omelets (cheese, ham & cheese, western, bacon & cheese, primavera, feta & spinach and Italian frittata), Cinnamon French Toast and pancakes (buttermilk, banana nut and chocolate chips). Pair up these delightful breakfast foods with coffee, tea or juice.
The lunch menu is made up of savory starters, which includes soup of the day (homemade), Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Calamari Fritti, Buffalo Tenders and more. They also have healthy jumbo salads such as Caprese Salad, Antipasto Salad, Greek Salad, Filet Mignon Steak Salad, Chicken or Tuna Salad etc. They have hot and cold sandwiches as well. The house specialties or favorites are Mahi-Mahi Fish Sandwich and Half Pound Burger. Of course, classic pasta dinners are also offered during lunch hour. Sample of pasta dinners are Meat Lasagna, Jumbo Stuffed Shells, Pasta with meatballs or sausages, Eggplant or Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Marsala.
The dinner menu is little bit more extensive than the lunch menu. It has appetizers (same with lunch menu with additional items); house entrées (Filet Mignon, Veal Marsala or Picatta, Chicken Gorgonzola etc.); from the ocean (Tuna ala Pescara, Dolphin Picatta, Lobster ala Romana, Shrimp & Scallop Scampi, Mussels fra Diavolo and more); surf and/or turf (Filet & Lobster Tail, Filet Mignon & Stuffed Florida Lobster Tail); baked pasta dinners (Meat Lasagna, Tortellini al Forno, Baked Penne, Jumbo Stuffed Shells, etc.); classic pasta dinners (Pomodoro Basilica, Tortellini Piacenza, Pasta Olivia, Pasta Puttenesca and more); fresh jumbo salads (same as the lunch menu with additional items); and barbeque dinners (Rack of Ribs, BBQ ½ Chicken and Combo).
New York Pasta Garden has a full liquor bar offering a variety of frozen tropical drinks and an impressive wine list.
