Palazzo Magnani Feroni

Overview

The Palazzo Magnani Feroni is housed in a historical home built in the 1500s which is an important icon of the aristocratic life in Florence, Italy. One of the oldest dwellings in the neighborhood of San Frediano, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni was home to the Marquis Feroni beginning in 1770 until it passed to the Magnani family in the 1800s.

Decorated with statues, paintings and frescoes dating from the 16th century, one can imagine the grand balls and formal parties held by the high-society owners and occupants, the importance of the palace further evidenced by the entrance leading to a wrought-iron gate decorated with the coat of arms of the Feroni family: an armor-clad arm, holding a sword and golden lily.

Previously an important art gallery known as the Galleria Salvadori, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni was renovated and converted into a 12-suite luxury hotel that oozes old world charm; the period furniture, antique chandeliers and numerous pieces of original tapestries from the Salvadori collection has placed it under the jurisdiction of the Italian Artistic Patrimony Protection. Those who could not do without modern technology will not find the Palazzo Magnani Feroni wanting; the hotel has been outfitted with Wi-Fi internet access, laptop computers in every room, satellite TV and other state-of-the-art equipment.

Service at the Palazzo Magnani Feroni is second to none. With the friendly, efficient, warm and accommodating staff, one will feel extremely well taken care of but unobtrusively so. All one would need to do was ask for assistance, be it with booking tours, making dinner reservations or recommendations for local shopping sites and the staff will go out of their way to help.

While staying at this hotel can be quite expensive, no one can put a price on magnificence – and that is exactly how you would describe the Palazzo Magnani Feroni experience.
