Visa Requirements for Canada Passport Holders – Philippines (Republic of the Philippines)

Canadian citizens can travel to the Philippines without a visa for tourism or business. A Canadian passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the duration of the trip and an onward or return ticket must be presented upon arrival in the country.

The Philippine government allows travelers to stay up to 21 days visa-free. An extension may be requested at the Bureau of Immigration before the 21st day. Laws against overstaying are strictly enforced.

Visits over 21 days must be accompanied with a visa. Visas can be applied for and obtained at the nearest embassy or consulate.

Requirements for visa application


  • Valid Canadian passport
  • 1 duly accomplished, signed and notarized visa application form
  • 1 passport size photo, recent
  • Confirmed itinerary from the travel agent or return/onward ticket
  • Proof of financial capability to travel or recent bank statement

Visa Fees

  • Single Entry, valid for 3 months CAD $ 34.50
  • Multiple Entry, valid for 6 months CAD $ 69.00
  • Multiple Entry, valid for 12 months CAD $ 103.50

Minors (under 18 years old) traveling without a parent or legal guardian must present a waiver to be obtained from the Philippine embassy or consulate. For those traveling with only one parent, a notarized letter signed by the other parent must be presented.

An Airport Terminal Fee of 750 pesos is required upon departure.
