It is mandatory for Canadian citizens to have a valid passport and visa when traveling to Sao Tome and Principe. Canadian passports must have six months’ remaining validity beyond the expected duration of the trip.
Visas must be applied for in advance at the embassy or through a travel agency. Tourist and Business visas are available. Students are also given tourist visa.
All foreign travelers must be in possession of yellow fever vaccination certificate to enter the country.

*Departure tax is being collected at the airport: US$20 for adults and US$10 for children.
