Canadian citizens intending to travel to Slovenia, for tourism or business, can enter the country visa-free. Travelers can stay up to 90 days in the country within a six-month period. Those who will overstay the allotted 90 days may be fined or deported.
If you are staying with a family or friend, you must also register with the local police within three days upon arrival. Those who are staying in a hotel will be registered automatically by the hotel management.
All Canadian travelers must be in possession of a passport with six months validity beyond the intended stay. Passports must be stamped upon entry. Failing to have your passport stamped may create problems when departing the country. Travelers must also present proof of sufficient funds and onward/return ticket.
For questions or clarification on entry requirements, you may get in touch with the Slovenian embassy or consulate office.
