Canadian citizens intending to travel to Togo are required to obtain visas for entry. A visa may be secured upon arrival, as long as the traveler is able to submit a passport photograph and 15,000 FCFA (the equivalent of roughly US$30), along with a fully completed and signed application form. Travelers are advised, however, that obtaining visas upon arrival can be difficult, and these are only valid for a limited time of 7 days. It is recommended that any Canadian citizen who would like to travel to Togo must obtain the necessary visa in advance of departure from Canada.
General Requirements:
- Fully accomplished and duly signed visa application form.
- Canadian passport with minimum of 1 year validity beyond the duration of stay in Togo.
- Prepaid, self-addressed return envelope.
- Visa fee.
Travelers must also be able to present evidence of yellow fever vaccination. It is highly recommended that Canadians keep this, along with their valid passports with them at all times while in Togo.
Canadians must confirm the visa and entry requirements for Togo before departing from Canada, in order to avoid delays and difficulties. The information provided here is subject to change without prior notice.
