Canadian citizens are required to secure a visa prior to traveling to Somalia, including in Somaliland and Puntland. A valid Canadian passport** is also required. Canadians must always carry identification, preferably a certified true copy of their passport’s identification page. The Embassy of the Somali Republic in Kenya issues Somali visa. Proof of yellow fever immunization may be required for those arriving from infected areas.
