The Ivorian Government requires US citizens to secure a visa prior to traveling to Côte d’Ivoirel (Ivory Coast); visas are not available at ports of entry upon arrival in the country. Americans should also present a passport with a validity of at least 6 months.
Additionally, an international certificate for current yellow fever vaccination is also required of all foreigners before being permitted to enter Côte d’Ivoire. If a foreigner fails to present this document, he or she may be asked to submit to vaccination before being cleared by immigration. The vaccination costs 5,000 CFA (approximately US$10).
