Visa Requirements for US Passport Holders – Rwanda (Republic of Rwanda)

US citizens are not required to secure a visa prior to traveling to Rwanda for 30 days or less of stay. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is also required for those 9 months of age or older. A valid passport is also required.

Other purpose of travel requires a visa immediately after entry. U.S. citizens planning on working in Rwanda should review the information concerning Rwandan visas before departing the United States, and should apply for a work permit at the Directorate of Immigration as soon as possible after arrival in Rwanda.

General Requirements:

  1. Completed visa application form
  2. Two colored passport photos with white background
  3. Yellow Fever Certificate
  4. Valid passport
  5. Include a return pre-paid envelope

Visa fees:

USD$ 60.00 for a single entry, USD$ 90.00 for multiple entries and an additional USD$ 30.00 for any rush services
